I could have done a game or animation but I believe an environment fly-through would be the most efficiently accomplished task.
I could do a forest or urban area, but these areas are wide open, requiring longer time to produce and either a much longer fly-through route or having a large amount of that environment unseen.
I have however, came up with the idea of a prison/containment environment (possibly post-breakout), this could be linear with offshoots to explore with the fly-through.
Here are the different mind-maps I came up with for the ideas
| This is the one I used ^ |
Develop an idea
The environment would heavily feature cells, locked doors and corridors. The fly-through could go from regular prison through to high security containment facility as it proceeds further.
Target Audience
The target audience will mainly be gamers and designers who will find the fly-through interesting and/or inspirational. They will likely also be males of the 15-30 year old bracket. The gamers tend to be drawn towards interesting/exciting concepts similar to their games.
Constraints
As I'm planning on the environment being post-breakout, ethically I will need to keep any blood/gore within reasonable limits.
Legally, it would be ideal to avoid getting too close design wise to the SCP: Containment Breach game. While I doubt they are the type to pursue legal action over identical design layouts, I still don't want to do so both out of respect for their work and just in case they do pursue legal action.
Research an idea
I have done some research and are planning on using these images for a large amount of inspiration, which feature cells, blast doors, damaged metal and concrete, corridors and bullet casings.
